My Personal Philosophy

My philosophy on technology integration centers on empowering both students and educators to engage meaningfully with digital tools while fostering creativity, equity, and practical application. I believe technology should enhance learning by providing multiple avenues for students to explore, create, and demonstrate understanding, regardless of their learning style or background. I also believe curiosity is key in creating meaningful learning experiences. I aim to connect with my clients by approaching each circumstance with curiosity, so that we can work together for the best solutions. By thoughtfully integrating technology, I aim to make learning accessible, engaging, and aligned with real-world skills, while helping teachers feel confident and supported in adopting new tools.

As a technology coach, I actively engage in professional learning networks (PLNs) to both contribute and gain insight from a broader community of educators. Drawing on my background in design and years of classroom experience, I create and share resources—such as editable templates, tutorials, and visual aids—that address specific needs I observe in schools. By openly sharing these materials with colleagues, I foster collaboration, encourage innovation, and strengthen the collective knowledge within my PLN. I also contribute tutorials for tools like Canva, demonstrating ways teachers can efficiently integrate design into assignments across subjects, from ELA projects to science presentations, thereby extending creative opportunities without overburdening teachers.

Staying current with emerging technologies is central to my practice. I consistently explore new tools, assess their relevance for classroom application, and pilot strategies that could enhance learning in my own classrooms. By testing and reflecting on these technologies, I am able to provide evidence-based guidance to educators, helping them navigate changes with confidence. Additionally, I engage in ongoing professional development, attend webinars, and follow thought leaders in design and educational technology to maintain a strong awareness of trends and innovations.

Sharing knowledge is a cornerstone of my approach. I aim to create accessible learning experiences for teachers, guiding them through the effective use of digital tools while building their skills and independence. Whether through collaborative workshops, one-on-one coaching, or resource sharing within a PLN, I prioritize practical, actionable strategies that teachers can immediately apply in their classrooms. My goal is to ensure that educators feel valued, supported, and inspired to integrate technology in ways that enhance student learning outcomes.

Through this combination of equitable technology use, active engagement in professional networks, and commitment to continuous learning and sharing, I strive to make technology integration both meaningful and sustainable, cultivating classrooms and learning communities where innovation, creativity, and confidence thrive.
